MISSION

We work to eliminate period poverty and stigma by transforming schools in underserved communities into period-friendly environments—where girls can manage menstruation with dignity, stay in school, and thrive.

VISION

To create a world where menstruation is recognized as a natural and powerful part of life and not shrouded in shame or stigma. No one should have to miss school or work because of her period.

OUR APPROACH

Empowering Teachers to Lead Change
We equip local teachers—trusted members of their school communities—to deliver menstrual health education, creating sustainable, stigma-free learning spaces.

Partnering for Equity and Access
Through grassroots partnerships, we support menstrual education and access to essential products—promoting menstrual equity and helping every student thrive.

VALUES

TASSEL is more than a name—it is our commitment to creating period-friendly schools through six core principles:

  • Ending period poverty so every student can attend school with confidence and dignity.

  • Providing low-cost solutions so menstrual hygiene never hinders education.

  • Breaking taboos and normalizing conversations about menstruation in schools and communities.

  • Ensuring lasting change through research, data, and long-term commitment.

  • Equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to manage their periods without fear or disruption.

  • Working hand-in-hand with grassroots organizations to build trusted, community-driven solutions.
